Ballad RV Park, Thompson Springs, Utah
This campground is a great spot to stay about an hour away from Moab, Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Dead Horse Point State Park, and two hours to Captial Reef National Park. This park has full hookups, long mostly level gravel pull through sites, and the sites arent to close together. They have cabins as well as two tents and a parking storage area. They have two sets of washers and dryers to do laundry in, theres showers and bathrooms if you are tent camping. They have trees next to all campsites but they are smaller and dont interfer with parking. Its right off the highway and close to a gas station! You cant hear the highway noise to much, but there is train tracks right behind the campground so you get the noise from the trains! We dont mind it but its something to consider if you dont like the train noise. They dont have any other ammenties but they have some camping items you can buy like toilet paper, water pressure regulator, and fire wood and propane to refill your tanks. They also have doggy poo bags around the campground if you forgot yours! It seems to be a couple long term residents but they are nice and keep to themselves. Stargazing is amazing out here! The managment is super nice and helpful as well and are improving the campground everyday! Id give this campground a 9 out of 10!
